The Jordans owned huge estates in Ma\u0142opolska (Little Poland). Surnames ending in \u2013ski first began to appear at the turn of the 14<sup>th<\/sup> and 15<sup>th<\/sup> centuries. Previously it would be simply stated from which place someone originated \u2013 this applied only to the landed gentry (posesionatus).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Jan Jordan from Zakliczyn (during the reign of King Zygmunt I) probably obtained Rozwad\u00f3w Wielki (Great Rozwad\u00f3w) near Miko\u0142aj\u00f3w on the Dniester River (before WWII in the Stanis\u0142aw\u00f3w province, district (powiat) \u017bydacz\u00f3w), currently the Miko\u0142ajewski district of Lviv region). Probably from this time he wrote his name as Jan Jordan Rozwadowski from Wielki Rozwad\u00f3w\u2026It is however, incorrect to state that the roots of our family stem from Rozwad\u00f3w on the San River \u2013 which town was founded in the 17<sup>th<\/sup> century by Gabriel Rozwadowski!\u00a0There are also theories suggesting that all Rozwadowskis come from Wielki Rozwad\u00f3w in the \u0141ukowski district, but those Rozwadowski use the Rogala Coat of Arms, whereas all the Rozwadowskis from the Sandomierz and Halicz trunks and \u0141ukowski branch, and Lubelski and Tuchowski lines \u2013 always used the Three Bugles crest and indicated that they originated from the Jordan Family.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The Family Jordans from Zakliczyn from Wielki Rozwad\u00f3w Rozwadowskis takes its origin as Rozwadowskis from the mid 16<sup>th<\/sup> century. The indicators are: signature of Jan Jordan, lord of the manor in Rozwad\u00f3w; statements of heraldists and investigators: Niesiecki and Bobrowicz (\u2026one district or family with the Jordans\u201d) &amp; \u017bernicki \u2013 \u201cPolish Gentry\u201d German edition.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>JAN JORDAN ROZWADOWSKI<\/strong> from Zakliczyn had three sons. Pawe\u0142 was the ancestor of the Halicz branch (named from Halicz on the Dniester River). Andrzej (actually his son Stanis\u0142aw) was the founder of the Sandomeirz branch &#8211; since most of the landed possessions belonging to the Rozwadowskis were in the Sandomierz region.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>PAWE\u0141\u2013J\u00d3ZEF<\/strong>, son of Jan Jordan from Rozwad\u00f3w, married to a Skrzetuska, coat of arms Jastrz\u0119biec (Hawk); moved to Ru\u015b and probably founded Rozwad\u00f3w on the Dniester (no trace of which remains). His descendants (Halicz branch) rose to greta prominence in the Halicz region \u2013 in the church at B\u0142askowice in the 19<sup>th<\/sup> century one could read an inscription: \u201cRozwadowskis of Three Bugles, a family most noteworthy in the Sejm, the senate, the land, and Church.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ANDRZEJ<\/strong> second son of Jan Jordan from Rozwad\u00f3w, brother of Pawe\u0142, High Steward (podstoli) of \u0141uk\u00f3w, judge in Lublin, married to Sobieska from \u015awierszczyn, daughter of \u0141ukasz, and aunt of King Jan III Sobieski, is the ancestor of the Sandomierz Branch.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ALEKSANDER<\/strong> was probably the third son of Jan. Nothing is known about him, similarly with Jan\u2019s three daughters. Pawe\u0142 and Andrzej are mentioned in documents from Warszawa, Lw\u00f3w, Sandomierz, documents from the Dominican Monastery in Bar in 1598 and 1650. \u201cAndrzej son of Jan of Wielki Rozwad\u00f3w Rozwadowski, brother of Pawe\u0142 from the time of King Zygmunt August. He left behind Stanis\u0142aw, who had a son Maciej\u2026\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the latest research Andrzej had a second son \u2013 <strong>MICHA\u0141<\/strong> born in 1604 \u2013 probably the ancestor of the Tuch\u00f3w branch!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>STANIS\u0141AW<\/strong> son of Andrzej had a son Maciej whose son was <strong>IGNACY<\/strong> \u2013 father of Colonel <strong>KAZIMIERZ<\/strong>, from whom our so-called Colonel\u2019s line originates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-235 size-full aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/rozwadowski.org\/v2.0.1.2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/historia-rodziny-KORZENIE_3.png\" alt=\"historia rodziny - KORZENIE_3\" width=\"664\" height=\"635\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rozwadowski.org\/v2.0.1.2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/historia-rodziny-KORZENIE_3.png 664w, https:\/\/rozwadowski.org\/v2.0.1.2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/historia-rodziny-KORZENIE_3-300x287.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 664px) 100vw, 664px\" \/><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>Download:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>1.
